In Russian sculpture of the second half of the XXth - the beginning of the XXIst century, along with its traditional genres (portrait, figure, genre composition), still lives and landscapes, previously presented only in painting and graphics, are increasingly appearing. Moreover, the landscape in sculpture exists not only on the plane surface of the relief. It actively comes out into space and masters voluminous compositions. Contemporary sculptors, actively appealing to the landscape genre, apply a variety of plastic interpretations - from the classical depiction of the landscape or urban environment to generalized compositions or installations.
